What does it mean to know god?

How to Know God: A Summary

1. God is Real

God's existence is evident through creation. His eternal power and divine nature are clearly seen in the world, leaving no excuse for disbelief (Romans 1:19-20).

2. The Problem of Sin
Humanity has sinned, creating a separation between us and God. No one is innocent (Romans 3:23). The result of sin is death—both physical and eternal (Romans 6:23).

3. God's Solution
Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, God provided a way to bridge the divide. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins, offering salvation to those who believe in Him (Romans 5:8).

4. How to Be Saved
Confess and believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior to receive forgiveness and salvation (Romans 10:9).

5. What Salvation Brings
*Freedom from condemnation (Romans 5:1).
*Peace with God (Romans 8:1).
*A promise of eternal security (Romans 8:38-39).
*The gift of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14).
*Evidence of salvation through the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

A Prayer for Accepting Jesus
To begin a relationship with God, pray:
"Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and need Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose again to give me new life. Today, I choose to trust You as my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart, guide my life, and help me follow You always. Thank You for Your love and the gift of salvation. Amen."

Reciting this prayer is a way to express to God your trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation. However, it is not the words alone that save you—only genuine faith in Jesus Christ can bring salvation!
